Literatura

La mayoría de la gente sólo conoce la literatura oral sefardí, pero no sabe que hay una importante literatura sefardí escrita.

Las obras clásicas de la literatura sefardí pertenecen a géneros comunes con la literatura hebrea: comentarios a la Biblia, libros de oración, libros de moral, etc. Pero también hay obras poéticas, como son las coplas, y desde el segundo tercio del siglo XIX se escribieron géneros «occidentales»: teatro, narrativa y poesía de autor.
